The solar works well, woke up this morning and said 28 days left. . This time around I wanted something with better battery life, and so I went for the Instinct 2 solar.

And that solar panel really does come into its own when you're outdoors. This watch has plenty of smarts despite the humble appearance, I love the hot buttons for short cuts such as access to radio controls, I clean windows so like my radio so when a customer approaches 2 clicksand I mute the volume. Overall pretty happy with the watch, however this is mainly down to the new software features such as the body battery, health snapshots etc.

- LOADS more data available that the Forerunner 235, particularly background data throughout the day, but also lots more performance tracking data. Been wearing this for almost 14 days now, battery is still at 74%, I've not even scratched the surface with what I can do and I doubt I ever will, but its so much better than my Galaxy watch. - LONG battery life which is great for longer endurance events.

The battery life is fanominal but if you're tracking on GPS it goes through the battery much quicker. I quickly reduced my data fields to 3 per screen, but even then it can be difficult.
