She has recovered from a stroke last year but still sometimes fumbles with her fine motor skills. The outer colour of pen has no bearing on the ink. We tried those pencil grips and my child couldn’t do those.

They come with a refill which can be changed by unscrewing narrow end of pen. Anyways, she finished her handwriting worksheets without changing her grasp. Refills are available in black and blue so the ink colour can be changed according to your needs.
