It works. 1 Gen2 adapter on my iMac 2017 with a Samsung 860 EVO 4TB and I am getting excellent speeds.

There are so many important data, photos and videos recorded as fond memory. Works perfectly on my patriot ignite 480GB SSD. Of course I can put each drive in its own case, but I prefer something that serves all and allows me to easily switch drive. It's perfect.

It popped up and didn't fail as I transferred 300 gigs in under 5 minutes. I have my mac set to not automatically sleep and not to put hard drives to sleep.

Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB in Transcend USB 3. This adapter seems much better at eliminating drive ejections that occur for no reason. But it works so well. Recommended

I have a few SSD drives (250GB or 500GB) from my old computers, but only one USB3 SATA case. Works with 8TB Samsung QVO - Mac Mini v2018 - Win 10I need 8TB Data Size, NVME 8TB is still to expensive, 8TB HDD's are a lot slower at dir scan,

I have been manually ejecting the SSD to avoid getting the error message. Works perfectly for me as a time machine backup drive to back up my MacBook's entire drive. The only little quirk about these cables is they are kind of thin and easy to bend and if you bend them too much it seems they have issues (I was having some problems with sustained write speed until I straightened it out).
