I kept using it whenever she was supervised as it did make her think twice and slowed her down a bit, but it could do with being that bit wider unless you have a brachycaphelic breed! Oh my god! She can sleep comfortably & in a natural position in it.

He soon learnt to use it as a comfortable pillow too. I had tried soft cones too but they didn't seem to be effective in preventing them from accessing wounds & still caused distress through impaired vision. I read a lot of reviews before buying the Buster Inflatable Collar (M) which helped me a lot. My French bulldog hurt his back leg and needed surgery, upon getting home it was obvious how much he hated his Elizabethan collar and wouldn't stop crying and feeling very sorry for himself.

BEWARE, if your dog has a long muzzle, a long neck and longish legs (like ours) they will be able to get to paws, tummy and back legs. She hasn't been distressed by it or tried to get it off. so simple & cheap, yet so effective & humane.

Top marks all round. Since surgery 3 days ago my pug has worn this day & night. I give this item 4/5 and not 5/5 as I've had to wrap a hand towel around my dogs neck first because the collar needs to be deeper. I thought my crazy pug would go nuts with a lampshade collar on & had already had a bad experience with one on my other pug when he injured himself trying to get it off, but I knew it was necessary post surgery.

Having a minimum up of four dogs in the house at any one time plus various visitors and foster dogs, it's rare one of them doesn't have some sort of issue ! Seriously this product needs to be better marketed, I can't believe only one person in 2 weeks of walking around with my pup with a cone on its head. I had seen this product & wondered if it would work but I was sceptical.

I met a wonderful woman on Hampstead Heath who told me about this, I ordered immediately and got the next morning (Thank you Prime! She immediately licks when it's off so has to wear it constantly, but it's working. This is further compounded by their big eyes as if it interferes with their vision it can cause unnecessary distress.

The towel trick does the job, so try this before you send back. The inflatable collar is robust, easy to put on and take off, comfortable enough for her to sleep in (we let a tiny bit of air out to make it a bit squishier) and it certainly works. She hasn't accidentally got it caught causing it to pull or fall off.
