And I just have to make a mention of "The hunter", a string-draped beauty of a song. No noticeable clicks or other audio artifacts. Co-written by him and the band, the new songs showcase a very welcome pop sensibility to the arrangements, reminiscing of the band's glorious late '90s-early '00s days, and those trademark catchy riffs and thumping basslines the Peppers are famous for. First single "Dark necessities" is a new classic, and new single "Go robot" follows closely.

It is not "Blood Sugar Sex Magic" or "Californication", but to be presenting an album as good as this, 30+ years into their game, is proof that this animal gang are on a creative burst. Both vinyls are black and have a P. 25 years and 6 albums later, RHCP's 11th studio album, finds them parting with longtime producer Rick Rubin, and replacing him with Danger Mouse. As a long term fan of the band, I wouldn't be deterred by the negative ish comments on Amazon and the likes, the album is a work of art and all band members sound like in the music! Quality control is poor had to buy and return 2 times.

) Memorable mentions from me get songs Dark Necessities and Goodbuy Angels but I am sure everybody who likes Red Hot Chili Peppers will have their own favorite songs on this album. And it's also us. May be my favorite Peppers album

There are no huge hits on the album that will stay in your head for years and will be in heavy media rotation but there are several quite good songs. Much more engaging and inspired than the disappointing "I'm with you", "The getaway" stands among the great Peppers records. Came with a lyric book to!
