If I would have made it the pattern would cost $12, then there's the cost of buttons and material, so this is a steal. It's a great costume, we chose boots instead of the spats, and never wore the belt- but it is hands down worth it over any cheaper costume.

It showed up on time and is made really nice. ! Costume is well made, perfect, and cute, my son is not impressed. I wish I could show you all how not happy this kid is in the costume for his school event, angry does not cover it.

The hat in the picture I bought separately but we needed the hat to complete the costume. My son needs this for a school performance. This product should come with the hat based on the price BUT it is made with good quality and I wouldn't have been able to put together the costume he needed so we like it!

The large fit my 11 yr old son perfectly. For none colonial wear, if your kid has black glasses and longish hair it has a real Austin Powers vibe. This coat is so comfortable and well made that my son wears it for fun like a lightweight hoodie.

It does not come with pants or a hat, get a pair of girls leggings, it will work perfectly, don't tell your boy he's in "girl" leggings. The material is not thin like most costumes are. Excellent costume.
