As an avid fan of nature and photography I recently decided I would invest in some binoculars and it’s proved to be one of the best decisions I have made. The image is bright and very crisp and chromatic aberration is very minimal. Just recently bought a set of 8x42 Kestrel ED binoculars and I can say they are fantastic.
The binoculars themselves have an excellent field of view and are probably the equivalent to around a 1000mm lens on a full frame camera. The binoculars themselves are excellent, they feel very sturdy and well made, they are small enough to be nice and portable.
I myself normally wear glasses (varifocal) but when I am out doing photography I tend to set the diopter for my natural sight without glasses and I did the same for my binoculars, setting up the diopter is very easy and once you know where to set it you can quickly set it if you let anyone peer through them or if I wish to use them with my glasses, the eye relief is plenty so there is no issues there. I chose viking optics after reading other reviews in various internet blogs and from people who have bought their products. I would highly recommend Viking to anyone and I would happily purchase again from them
