Do not overwork.

If spraying, you may thin with water if needed but not more than 10%.
Lay down enough paint so that it has enough product to self-level but avoid drips.
Do not use Wax over Enamel.

I always add a wax to finish as this does seal the paint and gives it a nice soft finish. Is it meant too be like that? I had an old pine chest of drawers that was roughly twenty years old.

I would say that the paint went on better with a brush, rather than a roller, which left it looking patchy. Easy to apply and brushes can be washed in the sink under warm water afterwards and it comes off of skin easy too.
