I've included pictures with the Tyr long-hair cap (black) and the Soul Cap (Navy Blue) together to show the size difference. He flips the sides up so it doesn't cover his ears and so he can hear better at practices. I didn't want his cornrows wet.

I was very impressed with how little water got inside. (Large) and it fit all his hair with room to spare, plus it was easier to stretch when putting it on so he could get it on by himself comfortably. I use a Tyr brand "long hair" swim cap when I swim but it was too tight for him to get it on by himself and it didn't have enough space for all his hair. My son has very curly, long hair and needed something to protect it and keep it out of his face while swimming.

His hair was only damp around the edge and dry everywhere else. Plenty of room for all of their hair in many different styles. Highly recommend!
