It definitely has a ginger scent, but it is not over powering for me, nor does the scent linger. Sometimes I would get headaches or tention bumps from how tight ECO gel sits on my head, but with Mielle, I do not have this problem. Gives me quick, simple control of my hair!

And, I absolutely love the fact that this gel is not sticky by any means, although the consistency is a little on the thick side as most gels are. I was given a sample of Mielle spray from Ulta and it made my daughter's curls soooo bouncy and curly.

I used to use ECO argan oil but I love that this holds my hair without the crunchy effect. But, it is not overwhelming when I use it in my hair. 4th picture (and my favorite part of this product) is just re-wet (not soaked) with spray bottle, two more pumps of Mielle to re-set, scrunch with microfiber, finish with air dry, then when dry scrunch out the stiffness.

3rd picture is same day hair messed up from a scalp massage and a nap. Then I can either scrunch with microfiber and air dry if I'm on the go or "plop" the sleep/dry and have controllable curls! I used to wear my hair down and curly only after a complete wash/reset.
