Very easy to use, as you just need to choose the age and press the button to check. It came with batteries inside which is always nice, but Braun went a step further and included premium Duracell batteries, I have never seen any product shipped with such high-quality batteries because they always try to cut corners.

The build quality compared to the professional 6000 version is definitely not as good, but then the pro version is about £180. It is very easy to use, it takes a measurement in two seconds, the digits are legible and the backlight is very useful during the night. One of the best things I’ve ever bought. The previous thermometer that we returned was giving us +-0.

My temp looks OK at the moment, so fingers crossed I am locating it properly. This is a very late review, I bought this back in 2019 and it is extremely accurate and very reliable, still going strong 4 years later, we have 6 children varying from ages 9 months to 12 years and this is well worth the money. Good thermometer at a good price. BUT, the instructions say location of device is crucial and a light and beep will go to tell you it is correctly positioned before pushing the start button.
