I have attached a quick sample to show the difference. At school we had to use fountain pens but these were invariably cheap and messy things compared to the Bic ball pen. Good value, i found them cheaper here than in the shops in person.

resultGreat to mix up your mediums 10 pens in total3 blue 3 pink 2 purple 2 green Only thing that bothered me is each pen has a bit on glue on the tip that you have to remove to use the pen, never had that before but seems to be a way to stop them drying out perhaps. But ordered purple and got pink

Never run out purple pens again! Colours are nice and pens easy to hold I’ve put comfort at a four but that’s just because it doesn’t come with any grip which will make it slightly uncomfortable after writing for a long time.

1) The pen caps seem to have been fitted by an over-powerful machine, so you need a good pull to get them off. Great deep purple colour and the usual great bic quality with no leaking or smudging.

Overall they are another great addition to the Bic range, and worth every penny. Only needed 1 but so cheap just to buy whole pack. 2) You need to pick off the protective blob covering the 'nib' before you can write with the pen - this should be done with a paper towel or something similar because, no matter how careful you are, it will mark your fingers with lovely purple ink.

These pens are amazing! Two things to note - and the reason for 4 stars rather than 5. Marcel Bich - from where the name Bic comes - gave us the Bic ball pen in 1950. Sadly we weren't allowed to use ball pens "in those days" as they were considered inferior by my school!
