I would say the key chain that holds the keys together has already been damaged by my son biting into it. My teething 1 year old is obsessed with getting my car keys and loves putting them in her mouth (must love taste of the metal 🙈).

The sounds associated with the buttons are not jarring. My grandson is delighted with these keys. They are substantial and vibrant and seem real because they are made of plastic and metal. Come in a beautiful box.

So I would say this aspect of the item isn’t as sturdy but didn’t completely break and the keys are still functioning. Our daughter also grabbed these keys directly. I have a better feeling when she puts these keys in her mouth instead of real ones.
