I’m a middle aged over weight woman and I can go out and dig with this in my heavy clay without undue difficulty. It's light weight enough to carry it all day with one arm behind you or over your shoulder.

Spade is sharp and tuff. I’ve broken a wooden shovel and bent a similar design that was a bit flimsy. The photo is my size 8 boot next to the giant blackberry roots I dug up Overall very well designed, but fairly flimsy hollow-core fiberglass shaft.

Broke after 2 weeks, but they did send me a replacement without questions when I contacted them. You’ll grow a pair of muscle, definitely! This is perfect for digging in that ground. Only notable downside is the size of the head just on the small side for any significant shoveling jobs.

This is one of the few products I’ve ever used that is as good as advertised. It does do a better job of breaking up clumps once the dirt is softened than standard forks. 😅 Digs out turf and sod with ease.
