The MC is a detective who is assigned a new case of a body discovered in a shelter. I enjoyed the "who done it" aspect alongside the family drama of secrets. The story is fast paced and offers colourful characters with flaws and secrets. The author is an experienced and talented writer, responsible for many TV hit shows.
Dark Rooms by Lynda La PlanteThis book is exciting and mysterious. As the story unfolds the reader enjoys the investigation alongside the MC.
I also enjoyed the MCs back story and home life which runs alongside the main topic.
