I'm reasonably handy, so -- after reading the reviews about assembly -- I was hoping to assemble it in ~15 minutes, but it took me 45 minutes. Easy to put together because I had read directions and reviews that said to take note of B vs C dowels. I grew up without a dryer so when ours broke a year ago we bought 3 cheap drying racks from a big box store.

I am really glad that I bought this rack! (I started with the top end, with four rods). Of all the things I have purchased through Amazon, it’s funny how this rack has to be one of my all time favorites . Got tired of using my wood patio chairs as drying racks.

Then go back and tighten up all the screws, on both sides. Very happy with this purchase. This drying rack has so much more room than my old standard sized one. Don't be scared of the assembly.

I had no problems at all in assembling this rack -- the result is a much more sturdy drying rack than the higher, vertical one that came pre-assembled. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Still, it's a robust drying rack with lots of linear feet to dry clothes, as described. Assembly tips:1) Be careful not to strip the threads when screwing in the screws! I am very happy with this product. 😊 The secret is to balance it as best you can, getting at least some of the legs into their hole, and then start with the screws at one end.

I love the extra room and the storage. A few of the fittings had metal burrs which I needed to file off (with a metal file) or clear away (with a screwdriver). I can get a entire load of laundry on this one rack! A tip is to very loosely install the screws, in the last step.

It's strong enough to take a heavy load of wet clothes -- I loaded it up with a whole lot of fleeces and cotton trousers, and still had room for tees and tops. That being said, it is possible just difficult, and it took a while to figure out that that was why it wasn’t working.
