I received this product at a discounted price in return for my honest opinion Having said that, you could always supplement short hair with some extensions, simply by attaching them to your ponytail band and then pulling them through the bun ring along with your shorter hair, and mixing them with your own hair and tucking them under the bun ring.

Once I got the hair ready for the big bun, I pulled the hair through, arranged it, then put hair elastics over the bun. Her hair is 3/4 down her back and fits very well for any dance or gymnastics bun. I would say this style of doughnut will be more suited to those with long thick hair. I've got hair extensions and I might use them if my own ponytail gets too thin to cover the bun ring.

I purchased the brown for my very dark hair, the donut is quite a dark brown not light so is perfect for my shade. Any other bun maker could not contain the amount of her long hair. My daughter has extremely thick and naturally curly hair.

I love these giant hair buns, delivery was good you can expect it within two weeks or so. But this works like a charm. The hair holds very well on the net fabric of the bun ring and it's very easy to pin it underneath the ring with hair grips to secure it. now the only problem I had is that I had ordered two and one was bigger than the other.
