I tested mine directly under a carbon monox detector, no alarm. I use a carbon monoxide and smoke detector in any space with gas appliances just to be extra safe. There are lots of other cheaper makes on Amazon but this one is from a known brand and has the safety features you need. A good heater in my opinion especially which I think you need coming with the adaptor fitting as these propane cans as the picture show seem a little easier to get hold off I the UK.

With butane/propane mix canister 465gms, you'll get approx 3hours heat, canister will then tend to freeze up as one of the gases gets used up more. Quality little portable heater. It does the job and runs very safe. And it does push some heat out so I'm happy with it.
