Had used the standard version of this shampoo for a while, but recently my scalp has been itchy and I seen this when I went to order the normal Alpecin shampoo. It would make more sense if they were listed separately thus allowing prospectivecustomers some idea of the different varieties of the product.

It has a nice smell,. Positive:. I give it a 4* due to the bottle being a lot smaller than original and its a lot more expensive, but I suppose when you take into account I don't have to buy a separate anti-dandruff shampoo its not bad value.

I recommend it. Unfortunately it seems that all of the reviews for Alpecin are being lumped together under the one heading for AlpecinDouble Effect, which I have not tried.

One interesting point of information that is printed on the bottle is that for Competing Athletes," Alpecin Caffeine can bedetected in the hair follicles"! I do as the instructions on the bottle suggest and leave it on my hair for the requiredtwo minutes, and feel good after using it. I have been purchasing Alpecin Caffeine Shampoo 250 ml size for a while now, and found it cheaper here on Amazonthan buying it in my local pharmacy, so I thought it time to sing its praises. Soft hair after use.

Withe respects to hair growth, I am in my late 30s and have been using it every week twice for 8 months and I can definitely feel my hair growth a bit thicker. . Whether it does live up to the TV adverts which indicate that it can prevent hair loss, I cannot say, but it does keepmy hair looking clean and fresh. The itchiness improved significantly after using it.
