I hope this review helped you. Its flavour is full and there is no tail. Being a spirit drinker, whiskey my tipple of choice, I'm always on the lookout to try a new take on the classic varieties (liqueurs I pass on). PackagingDepends on the seller, some come boxed, mine came unboxed but we're not ordering for the box, are we?

I think Jim Beams have done something rather clever and I would buy it, as I have checked the price and its only about a third more so I could buy it for specialoccassions. If so, I would appreciate it if you clicked on the Yes button for a helpful review. I did notice the oakiness but in a good way. ColourSubtle Amber colour, a slight shade below Jack Daniels no 7 blendNoseWood (well it is double oak matured), slight fragrance of sandalwood combined with a caramel scentTasteSlightly sweet on the front of the tongue, caramel with a pleasant charred wood aftertaste, smooth with no burn on the way down, unusual for a 43% tippleWhile this certainly makes enough of an impression to make me want to try it again it doesn't replace Jack Daniels no7 or the Single Barrel (Angels Reserve) as my favourite bourbon hence the four stars.

Compared to this the bourbon had a fabulous rich amd full flavour. If you have any questions, please ask. Unfortunately, it arrived with a broken bottle cap.

ND Reviews

I have tried Jim Beams usual bourbon before and did not like it as found it rough. It's a good fine whisky so I drank the disappointment away. Recently confining myself to Jack Daniels I decided to jump into the other bourbon pond of Mr Jim Beam.

I compared this bourbon to my supermarket brand 3 year whisky. I am pretty responsive to comments I am a whisky lover but generally go for the supermarket own brands or Bells. You can get it for a few quid cheaper on their website

Had the standard Jim Beam and Devil's Cut variations (also very good) in the past but this caught my eye and with it's good price and 43% vol strength it seemed like a good in-between bottle which you can't find on the supermarket shelves. The Jim Beam twice barelled bourbon whisky has impressed me. Ordered this because of a lightning deal. Got this for a good friend for Xmas.

The bottle came packed separately in a thick bubblewrap package which was good, after opening it and inserting the bottle into the gift box, truly looks stunning.
