Unscrew the tool, wipe or blow off the cuttings and your faucet is as good as new. Excellent valve vs. Thread Cleaner" buy Superior tools and it's worth its weight in gold! Unfortunately it still leaked a bit but that is of no fault of the tool (my garden Bibb was already damaged and corroded pretty badly).

I drilled out the set screw because it was rusted in place. The picture is the after of the threads of the faucet that was all full of calcium and a wire brush wouldn't clean it up. For those buying this for a hose end.

Do yourself a favor and buy it. the cost of having a plumber replace the fixtures. I had my doubts, though I would end up replacing the hose bib. If you are hesitant you will not be disappointed.
