I did not have many expectations before I read this story. Backfire brings Batman to one of his lowest and most vulnerable places of all time! This was an amazing Batman story!
That is probably what I enjoyed about this story the most! MUST READ! . Deacon Backfire was the main villain in this story as the story goes on you also learn more of his story, teachings, or mythologies.
It was actually really awesome because you feel like you are piecing the story together like a detective. There is no flat spots or dull moments, just action through and through. The story begins with a non-linear narrative, "pulp fiction" style. I just wanted to read and discover more about Deacon Backfire.
This story is amazing and I am really surprised more people do not know of it. The story is really simple, however it is told in a very grounded way that keeps you hooked the whole way through.
