Unfortunately, there is not always a perfect product allocation in terms of reviews. These have now been transferred to a QNAP 4 BAY NAS along with the 2 new WD RED PLUS drives I have just purchased. I had seen that you had to have the CMR version (EFRX) and not the SMR version. Great for me.

I have my OS on an NVMe M. 🔲 Plugged into the NAS to rebuild the failed storage pool, it was immediately recognized without any problems, and the recovery process went smoothly. Further investigation revealed that the backup drive was only intended to spin when in use.

The choice fell on a 2 TB RED PLUS, since I don't need special performance and the cost is lower (at least at the time of my purchase). The RED PRO series is also based on CMR technology, but offers a higher speed, 7200 rpm. I was convinced to receive the WD30EFZX model, with better performance, and I recommend greater clarity in describing the models given the differences, even important, between the various hard drives on sale.

CONS ⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️ ❌ Little clarity in the product description: it would be advisable to indicate the specific model. but so far, so good. If you want to avoid SMR shingled drives make sure you buy the PLUS version. 2 SSD and files (media, docs, music) on this WD Red NAS Hard Drive.

As you can see from the photos, the drives are new in original well packaged WD Boxes with suspended holders, silica gel and fixing screws. . the amount of data that should not be exceeded per year for the drive, is 180 TB.
