I hope this review helps some of you to make up your mind all be it long winded. I would give the Dell 34” 8/10, loosing 2 points in the USB HUB and the IPS Glow which they all have to a point. As always, Amazon's delivery is faultless. It is connected to a Surface Pro 4 / i5 / 4GB /128GB via the Mini-DisplayPort to DisplayPort at 4K resolution.

youtube. Using the MS Wireless Display adaptor only give 1080p resolution. One of of the most underplayed features of this monitor is its uniformity correction mode. If the HUB was on the side or top, it would have been much more useful.

If in an open setup, then it doesn’t matter. Feels like a waste, but doesn't really bother me. 0 Card reader to it if you use them, basically something you will not be intending to remove again.

In this case I couldn’t take the chance with a 34” monitor, so I paid extra for DPD to deliver it and it was worth it. You can expect to pay thousands for this in EIZO or NEC monitors, but this delivers it in a great form factor at a good price and it really does work.

Watching movies is a treat except that i'm going to have to watch them all again. Buying a 4K monitor to use with the SP4 totally enhances the experience in a very positive way.

If you get one without light bleed altogether, then you are one of the very very lucky ones. co.

After some fiddling about with the settings, I'm very pleased with the overall quality of the images from the monitor (I don't use it for graphical work so proper calibration isn't necessary for me and I couldn't give you a detailed review from that perspective). Upon opening the box, I have to say Dell had everything well packed and all the components was in their own individuals compartments, so nothing will slide about inside the box. There is also a quick setup guide as well if you run into difficulties. I use it mostly for programming and game dev, it fits my needs perfectly.
