The packaging came a little banged up. It is very convenient to use and quite firm the connection on both sides.

The thickness of the wire is the same. Excellent item, the cable is of excellent quality and works perfect with my external hard drive (Seagate slim 2tb) and my MacBook Pro, the transfer and read speed is not affected at all.

I contacted because I thought I had received a fake product because here some images correspond to an old version. As always, excellent quality in StarTech products, — It correctly maintains the external electrical shielding of the connections, — The connection is very firm at both ends, and — For me, it has an excellent correlation between stiffness and flexibility. The sellers were very keen that I was happy with my purchase and included a letter with my order that in case anything happened I would be able to contact them directly. Anyway it was on sale!

I had bought this adapter for my Intuos Wacom Tablet. Found the mismatch of design with public shared image. Excellent customer service from StarTech.

After consulting with the support team at Wacom they suggested this adapter because a regular Apple one was NOT going to work as properly as this one. Length is nice, got the job done, will see how it works in the long run. 4 amps, so that's a total current of 2. Tried to use the one with AC powered devices without problems, but found it's not so good with USB 3.

In the photo I put a pen as a reference. I was looking for a cable that could link my 10 year old Nikon that has the old Mini-USB connection to my MacBook Pro that has only USB-C ports for tethering in studio and it worked like a charm! It functions properly, no kinks, and it is still in great condition.

Without a doubt, I will buy another one again if I require it in the future. I bought this cable for an external hard drive and it is precisely the ideal length that gives freedom of movement but practical enough not to have it rolled up on the desktop. So overall, great product and a good trusted company.
