. On the tongue, the whiskey starts out with a lot of berries, but as time goes on there's more of a floral, spicy note. Cheers!

Floral berry notes after much dillutionYamazaki Single Malt Whisky has a complex nose, which definitely benefits from chilling and dilution. I've seen some comments that dilution up to 47% can be required to get all the flavours and scents from the whiskey, I wouldn't go quite that far, but it certainly benefitted from the chilling and dilution over time. Although not exactly my preferred taste, and much to the simpler side with of taste combinations, still a great single malt. The after taste is what really wins you over.
Great whisky, not too complicated, not very demanding but worthy of remembering. It’s like driving a Lexus for the first time, it’s just not as edgy, not as shiny, not quite the bang you’d expect, and then it’s something you just won’t change over anything else.
