He has such a soft spot when it comes down to it. Yarros' depiction of the intricate bond between dragons and humans is a refreshing take, highlighting the dragons' superiority which demands respect. Rebecca Yarros has written such a thrilling, addicting and compelling introduction book to this wonderful world of dragons and their riders, and I can't wait to see where the story continues!

⠀Lastly : THE DRAGONS , I loved them ! All I can say is that the book hangover after this was REAL and I am so very glad that Iron Flame is out next month, as I don’t think I can wait too long.

This book reminded me of books such as Divergent, The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner, with the addition of dragons that have all the banter (Tairn’s “shall I get the Wingleader” will forever make me laugh! Xaden Riorson, the powerful and ruthless wingleader, adds depth and complexity to the story, while the dragons themselves steal the show with their judgmental and sassy personalities. The last sentence absolutely BROKE me. ⠀Plot: listen I am a sucker for an underdog but what we got was 100% better Violet showed everyone of her doubters just how much of a badass she truly is by pushing herself to new limits and so much more.
