It takes 16MP photos and has a 6x optical zoom. I uploaded (see Customer images at the top) a side-by-side comparison of the same scene using two cameras taken at the same time. Since my wife loved using the S220, and considering that the price of the S3300 is pretty darn good right now, I thought I was going to take a deep breath, and a chance, and buy it.

It was also apparently small enough to fit in your pocket. Always fits in a pocket well. No need to take the battery out.

e. flowers, moths and butterflies. It's much improved and even though it's not a great camera (nothing with a small sensor can provide a really good image), frankly, for the price, it deserves its five stars.
