Once the valve and hose have filled up with the very clean water from the dryer, this clean water will close the valve when the washing machine pumps out. flawless.

I made these mistakes during the first assembly (see critique at the bottom). Install the valve 1. First time connection, no leaks.

Previous criticism for incorrect assembly: Unfortunately inappropriate to prevent washing machine waste water from being pushed into the dryer. Connected an 11mm tube with an internal dimension of 8mm and the connection was secure and added clips provided peace of mind. As close to the dryer as possible 2.
