Beyond Bilal is well-written, thorough, and an easy read: a must read for all Muslims. Mustafa Briggs has written a timeless addition of Black history, often forgotten or not discussed, in the greater Islamic discourse. Beyond Bilal, is not simply Black History: it is Islamic History!
