My silver-shaded persian had stains since she was a kitten. Since we use the Bio-Groom he looks sweeter and prettier as he already looks like.
After that it might be recommended to advise him to stay on his place for 10 min otherwise dark clothes will be geting sticky full of white cream. I use it approximately every 4-5 days.
