If you let it set up it does not fling off and not much seems to stick to it. Keeps chain from rusting. The chain came out looking new.

My chain is a sealed chain and has 20k on it. YouTube BLACK66 sealed the chain up really nicely. I let the chain dry then applied the Maxima 74920 Chain Wax as the instructions said.
