Its not totally silent, but it's quiet enough. Well impressed and would highly recommend this product, I shall certainly be buying another one to replace a noisy utility room fanEdit! IP rating has definitely been considered with this as the terminal block and PEC are separately enclosed within, a must in our household where the family like hot showers with plenty of steam produced!

They then have to cross the front of the unit to the terminals, which are on the bottom right of the unit. I ready somewhere it projects 40mm, which was a concern, but it actually only projects 25mm, which makes it pretty slim and easy on the eye.

Overall very pleased so far. but this is very unobtrusive and much much quieter than the previous fan. I had to cut a groove in the wall so that the cable could be wired in and not leave a gap between the fan and the ceiling.
