As for criticising the order, there are a few head-scratching choices here (Brecon Beacons at 365 and Ben Nevis at 316, to name but two), but this is the price you pay when asking LP readers for their favourite sights (Australians have managed to get 5 of the top 33). Firstly, this isn't a guidebook to take on holiday with you. Be thankful you will be able to enjoy the world's sites without bumping into such judgemental and arrogant travellers.

A really interesting read and looks fantastic on the coffee table! Many places here were new to me, but are now firmly on my radar. Places like Zhangjiajie (3,000 spires of rock mountain wreathed in mist and pine that inspired Avatar) or you know, the Amazon dont even get a say, perhaps due to the fact you can't buy a trip beforehand on a package, perhaps due to their distance from where Eurotourists would feel comfortable hanging out.

Lovely, lovely book. Beautiful book with lovely photography and affirming Europe as the place to be, and look up to. The book is great and the pictures are mind blowing!
