I was going to the El Totumo Mud Volcano outside of Cartagena, Colombia, and I did not want to deal with mud in my locs, which are long. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. She's 10 and I ordered a medium. Her braids have 4 large beads at the bottom of each so there's a HUGE bun in the cap.

I ordered a small for both and both have thick hair. I've tried others and her hair was wet coming out.

lol. Awesomeness! Her scalp and the rest were bone dry. My 4yo daughter and I are both natural and the pool water has been drying our hair out.

I would still recommend. It is large and fits my bob braids.

I ordered a kids small for my daughter and an adult large for myself. Other store brand swim caps that I have tried in the past never worked. I’ll check back in after their first swim lesson to say whether or not water got in. The medium fits all of her box braids in it better.

But I would totally recommend this cap. It does not keep your hair 100% dry and while swimming the back of my hair got wet. Water gets in at the nape of the neck. It comes with the territory I guess.
