The speed is quite good (for a HDD) and steady. Otherwise delighted with purchase and would buy again, simply hope this feedback gets to the shipping/packaging department to save any future frustrating and/or costly issues for future customers.

Packaging - Yeah it was packaged well (box within a box within an anti static bag), but I get bubble wrap/ protective foam for draft items like chopping boards and towels but not for HDDs? With PMR data is written to and read from circular tracks on a spinning platter. I have used usb c enclosure for this hdd and it works perfectly. The First HDD Cuda Pro 4TB arrived dead (Date of Manufacture: Feb 2017).

6TB and split the Drive partitons to 2x 1. Great Hard Disk Drive (HDD), arrived quickly, and tests fine BUT it was delivered packaged in a paper bag-type envelope, inside was a cardboard sleeve and directly inside that was an antistatic bag containing the hard drive.

Got it to put into a NAS that is on 24/7 to store my media files, the drive arrived with no power on times and no power on hours, so it is a genuine new drive. 27TB), but hey that's how things are done I guess. No bubble wrap, no clamshell box, nor any protection of any kind surrounded the component; not even a label on outer envelope stating 'fragile'.

After reading that it is ranked in top 30 fastests HDDs out of more than 1000 by Userbenchmark, decided to buy (£54, April 2020). Other than that, currently price per GB is good.

I also have some for work, which have several hundred GBs written to them a day with no issues so far. Sound is not too loud, maybe slightly louder than a typical HDD but it's nothing to stress about (it's not like you would be buying a mechanical drive in a silent build anyways). Great reliable drive. The performance is really good so far, with noise being the only issue for me as my PC is small form factor, and the Barracuda Pro clicks, and spins when reading/writing but is more tame when its in idle.
