With normal dowels, this would not be possible at all or only with a lot of luck! - so cut the protruding piece and small screw in. Wish you good screwing:) 😉🍀

Honestly. Apparently, the screws can't handle too much pull on the side, which happened quickly when screwed in.

But I have to say that I put all the holes I drill into spatula and then put the dowels in. The wall is more of a difficult candidate, unfortunately I can't say exactly which surface, but the HILTI went in like butter. !
