As an insomniac the lines blur at 4 am to what’s real or her imagination , then there’s the things that she didn’t remember doing but must have? Sea views to one side and far reaching views to the other.

Being a Lucy Clarke virgin I didn’t know what to expect from this author, I was excited to get started and she did not disappoint in this engrossing compulsive read. Already behind with mortgage and the deadline for her second book is fast approaching she needs I would say to finish it but start is a better description. Remember the next time you let your house on Airbnb , you gave me your key YOU LET ME IN

I put this book down last night. The first one was such a hit, she struggles with her confused thoughts, feelings of inadequacy and nerves. the house just doesn’t feel right… someone is watching the house from the beach, she is receiving messages on social media from her ‘number one fan’There’s so much to make a person nervous in this especially if you’re a reader, writer, or have rented out your home or let someone stay. Not here it’s not!
As the pressure , the insomnia and the definite feeling she’s not alone build so does the tension in this book. The suspense in this book is fantastic, a genuine page turner and inability to put it down make this a brilliant thriller and phsycoligical roller coaster ride! A woman has split from her husband and is now living in a very nice cliff house with glass frontage in Cornwall they both planned and dreamed of. I’ve not read a novel where a writer examines all the worries and thoughts a writer goes through when writing and submitting a book and this was really interesting.

Cornwall is the ideal setting too as it’s usually so idyllic and envy inducing. The book locations are vague in that it’s somewhere in Cornwall but the fun would be to go there and try and find a glass fronted cliff house you could imagine is the one in the novel. co.
