The connectors fit together perfectly. I used this cable to connect the MiniDisplayPort (Thunderbolt 2) output of a 2013 MacBook Pro to a Dell UltraSharp monitor with DisplayPort input. 4.

The Image and sound project is very clear. 5" from gold tip to gold tip of both that i bought), but it's sufficient to get from my tower under one side of my desk to a monitor sitting on top of the other. ONE additional feature i like is that the DisplayPort has "hooks" to hold in the position and there is a button to unclip it when you want to take it out. Just got it today and i'm enjoying 60Hz on my DELL P2715Q 4k display.

Good solid cable. It is also a pretty thick gauge cable that isn't braided, and the connectors have thick rubber around the neck to prevent kinking and loss of signal.

As for the Startech 6-footer in particular:To call this 6 feet is literally a stretch, (5'11. I got some mini display port (MDP) to DVI adapters not realizing they have to be the more expensive 'active' type to work with the ati card in a >2 monitor configuration, and not realizing that the simple solution of this cord existed.

10 ft for me is a little long, I'd prefer a shorter cable as I'm connecting my Thinkpad to a DP monitor. 3. The advertised standard (DP1. StarTech has been one of my go-to brands for inexpensive and less-common cables.
