I write reviews probably for every 50 purchases. This item is well worth the money. I ordered this after I peeled way to many one Sunday to make Mango Strawberry Jam. The base does work as a scrapper very well.

This tool is so simple to use that with supervision you could allow a child to do it. I am an avid canner so I ordered this peeler and it arrived on my door step about the same time a second bag of mangoes did.

However, I'm glad to say that I'm completely satisfied with this purchase. Now. The small amount of material left behind can be easily peeled away with your fingertips.

My only complaint(deduction of 1 star)is its shipped in a bag, and as mentioned above the base is a thinner plastic. but not really.
