The writing bureau come up lovely. I gave it 5/10mins to feed the wood then gave it a really good rub.

It is a nice soft wax, very easy to apply. The Antiquax was a bit thinner than a mansion wax, which made it easier to apply (great for a high end finish but maybe a heavier wax might have filled in my imperfections better) anyhoo I am happy enough with the final result. Certainly seems like the original article, but the can was only about two thirds full.

I then finished it. Plenty left in the tin so I will try it out on some rosewood furniture with a very high end finish and expect it will be perfect for that project. I only did just over half of the dresser, and could see the difference - left side had no wax. Great value for money and arrived next day.

Time will tell how robust it is after curing (another couple of weeks should do it) but as an initial finish I am happy and would recommend the wax. Brilliant little tin of polishI stripped a chair and wanted to seal it leaving the wood with no colour and this worked a treat Very easy to apply wax and produces a decent finish.

Antiquax furniture wax. I used this on a rustic oak table that I wanted to preserve the imperfections created by years of abuse from my children, sort of seal in their naughtiness so to speak and produce a table of memories, but I also wanted to bring out the beauty of the oak and have a reasonable finish. Did I say plenty left in the tin… Unless I put it on my floor this 100g tin will last me years, a little really does go a long way. I roughly sanded down to bare wood with 120 grit, gave a quick rub down with 600 grit wet and dry (so not a perfect finish) then built up the wax.

This is really good furniture polish, but I was surprised at the contents.
