The product works as described. Existing fan has no pull chains so remote came with fan when installed. The black receiver box is larger than it looks. Wish it was thinner instead.

Great value for what you get. S. I had to wedge it just below the electrical box and zip tie it to get it to stay. My wife wanted one in our bedroom too, but I was afraid that it would not fit in the canopy since our fan is smaller.

I've seen a lot of people do this at the top of the canopy where it meets the ceiling. This is better because you can keep the canopy flush to the ceiling without pinching the yellow wire (see 2nd picture). Would- certainly recommend.
