This was, without doubt, one of the most beautifully poignant stories I've ever read. The mystery behind the disappearance of Tova’s son Erik thirty years previously gently unfolds as super sleuth Marcellus unearths clues, makes connections and steers Tova in the right direction. REVIEW⚠️cw: death, grief, addiction, child abandonment⚠️Seventy-year-old Tova Sullivan works the night shift at Sowell Bay Aquarium in the Pacific Northwest, where she forms an unlikely friendship with Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus.
Ali's Adventures
This is one of those books you don't want to end because you know you're going to miss the characters, especially one beautiful old soul that I admit became my favorite. #Marcellus the octopus narrates several chapters from his tank at the Sowell Bay Aquarium in Washington state.

Tova was incredibly strong, and I loved her kind nature. Happiness - The book left me with mixed emotions - mostly happy ones but still some sadness. Could Marcellus be the key to solving the mystery?
