If you are looking for a DAC converter for an “important” system, it is undoubtedly recommended even for the pretentious audiophile to evaluate the Topping D90SE before going to the wallet! I was aware that it was a very good measuring DAC, but you know.

My holo spring KTE edition died a premature death and I needed to get an interim DAC fast. I use a JRiver Media Center V. it at a slightly lower price and used, this is practically new, with the Amazon guarantee and it also costs 220 euros less than the sales price and all thanks to some gaglioffo with easy return, return, from what we read, due to the remote control that does not respond well to the controls, they look for hair in the egg, or they buy to test and then return, perhaps more the latter, I hope, also because the remote works well, yes it is true , it's not the best, you have to stay in front of the DAC and not so far apart for it to work properly, but they're messy, anyway, thank you dearly for my gaglioffo, whoever you are, you gave me a big gift.

😄 Personally, I listen to all kinds of music and mainly R&B, disco, rock, Italian, jazz, etc. Sounds as nice. Paired with the Pre90, the D90SE is liquid clarity made manifest.

OMG. Before the purchase, I documented extensively on the net, both in terms of the characteristics and technical equipment and for the qualities during the listening phase. m4a format from a laptop with Windows 10 platform connected to the D90SE via USB cable of adequate caliber (also the Bluetooth connection is excellent). Of secondary influence was the exclusively Left Brain review from ASR, which was helpful, but as per usual with ASR, it is not so much a review as a lab report.

I liked it to the point that I decided not to order another holo sound unit. I think it's hard to expect more for the price of €764. Everything from tonal color and spatial cues, to the tiniest dust mote of sound feels illuminated against a vast background of silence.
