Slot one is for Gen3 drives. Would work great for either a decent lab environment for study like I did, or for an actual workstation for daily usage. Installed into a new system, installed Samsung Magician immediately after and updated the firmware.

Each generation gets faster. Can't ask for anything better, and the 1TB version is the best option out there in my opinion between size and price. They're as fast as advertised.

Mark Wong

Been using Samsung M. Gen4 drives will run in slot one.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this model for my ESXi free edition hypervisor running on an Intel NUC 11 (NUC11PAHI7) and I'm just blown away by its speed! I like these so much that I added 3 to my new PC Build. However, I disabled slot one in the BIOS.
