However the representative recommended buying one to save money. Recently I am shopping an extender for my car in driveway.

I was lucky to get a even a weak signal for 10 minutes prior to using the extender. The signal is really strong and good, very stable, with no drop outs or disconnecting. Exactly what I needed for my situation.

I like the compact design as it easily fits in any cupboard and sticking out antennas like other models would make it unsuitable. App also has a location assistant to determine if the extender is in the best location in your home. With this I'm getting a good wifi reception at the unit and 60-70Mbps at the laptop. You can also schedule when the LED display is lit up which is handy if it's an annoying distraction at night.
