Cathy

She regularly goes skinny dipping in the river in all sorts of weather but the thought of cool water in the relentless heat held an even greater appeal. Becks tries to be the perfect vicar’s wife but feels she’s lost her sense of self, and Suzie is a down to earth, what you see is what you get sort of person.

tracy

We follow her on her investigation through the town meeting the residents and suspects and picking up a couple of new friends to help her on the way. Aided and abetted by her new found friends, dog walker Suzie and vicar’s wife Becks, the trio have some valuable input for DS Tanika Malik as they uncover possible suspects and evidence, while taking some risks along the way. Then there’s another murder.

What do you get if you cross a septuagenarian, a dog walker and a vicars wife? 3 friends form an amazing super sleuthing team to unravel murders in their home town of Marlow, totally recommend it for the fast pace read with a few twists and turns! When the town is rocked by a murder, 77 year old Judith Potts decides to devote her time to solving it.

During her swim she hears a shout, and then what she believes to be a gunshot, coming from a neighbour’s house on the opposite bank. 5*Seventy seven year old Judith Potts was very happy with her life, living alone in an Arts and Crafts mansion on the banks of the Thames. Here's to the next one! The best mystery solving trio in the whole of Marlow!

Judith is well known for her eccentricity and doesn’t care in the slightest what people think. I won't say any more than that as I don't want to spoil the twists and turns in this brilliant book, but I highly recommend it. No doubt her life would have carried on in this way but for the small matter of a murder.

Such a great story! Its so easy to read with a gripping storyline and such realistic characters that I genuinely felt like I was there alongside Judith and the rest of the Marlow Murder Club. I really enjoyed reading it and look forward to book two.
