lol It was packed in an oversized envelope, instead of an appropriately sized box with some stuffing. As you’ll see from the attached image, I’m into coffee.

Materials are good - made of solid metal and definitely has some heft to it. But the device is sturdy, with a comfortable heft.

And for fun I used without my old tamping tool and was awesome, canceled my real tamper order and place the jar of sport peppers back on the shelf. ! Agree with another review that the quality control is pretty bad (see photo).

3) When you have it down as far as you like, probably all the way leaving just enough in so that you still have some threads for the top knob to tighten in, tighten the top knob. Overall good for the price, easy to set up, fit my Gaggia Classic Pro 58mm commercial portafilter, with maybe a tiny bit of room to spare but didn’t cause the puck to lip around the edges. I recently got a gaggia classic pro and a fancy grinder, and as I work to get the perfect gram measurements in my portafilter and the perfect grind, this thing helps make sure my tamping stays the same from shot to shot. This distributor does it's job.

I have so far made ~10 espresso with this, and am happy with purchase. Right out of the box there are scratches and chips in the most important part of the product. One test out of the box with this super inexpensive distribution tool and BAM, my double spout basket flowed perfectly from the start. Adjusting the distribution tool couldn’t be easier.
