Reviews

Mark Askew

This new one The Blackbird is one of his finest to date. Just not quick enough. This book really got under my skin, and as much as wanted to race on and get through it, I found myself once again having to slow down in case I missed something. By the end of the book I was left wanting more, and no doubt that will be coming.

It's so good to have David Raker and Healy back again and this time its a massive story that just doesn't let up. If you have not entered David Raker's world through his voice on earth Tim Weaver then you are missing out on something special. I love this about Tim's books.

I honestly cannot recommend Tim's books high enough as he is such an ingenious writer. There are some lovely references to previous books and the story arc continues to develop Healy's story very well too.

Already looking forward to 2023 for the next installment. Yet another monster of a book from the inventive Mr Weaver.

Long term readers of Tim's books like myself know the main character David Raker inside out , he for those of you who are not aware is a missing persons investigator , whom has over the course of 12 books and a couple of cameos, certainly been through hell as he fights to learn the truth about the situation he finds himself in. Fast paced throughout making you want more and more , it's actually the quickest I've ever read a book from cover to cover , being excited to know what's coming next.
