I did not use the enclosed hook, as I prefer an ergonomic one, so cut it down and made a wand for Harry, and glued this to his hand (my granddaughter, for whom I was making these, is 10, so safety not an issue). Very good. I'm not too experienced with crocheting.

My granddaughter was thrilled with the set, which was a great reward. I've only done Potter. I made the whole set, using other yarn I had in my stash. I had no problem with the amount of yarn provided.

The superb detail: a hook in the shape of a magic wand 😍 I didn't like it very much for knitting, though. Maybe others out there have access to a bigger selection than I do but I am a bit disappointed that the rest of my characters aren't really going to match. A couple of small negatives though, for which I have docked a star.

Little wool, eyes and padding. Plastic catches on the yarn, and the hook bends. That said, the patterns are really clearly written and I am very pleased with the results.

I would have given it 5 stars, but I was missing medium gray and dark gray yarn for just one turn. The tasks are simple in general, which makes it an excellent book for beginners who dare to read a little or a lot in English. As others have said, the yarn it comes with isn't the greatest of quality so it can be hard to work with at times however I didn't feel like it affected the outcome. The equipment provided may be a bit fair.
